Chronic Absenteeism Research Cited by CA School Boards Association
The fall 2017 quarterly publication of the California School Boards Association includes a focus on the important, but often hidden, issue of chronic school absenteeism. The UC Davis Center for Regional Change collaborative research with the Sacramento County Unified School District (Principal Investigator Nancy Erbstein, UC Davis Department of Human Ecology) helped inform this article, drawing attention to chronic absence as a school, neighborhood, and regional challenge.
